Empowering Through Education
One of BTDA’s key pillars is education. BTDA aims to provide oral health education to the Tamil community, while also providing a platform for education and mentorship amongst dental professionals and prospective dental students.

Oral Health Education for Our Community
BTDA promotes oral hygiene education to the Tamil community, not just through volunteering initiatives but also through social media.
In the future, we are also hoping to organise in-person workshops with our Tamil community, where we can provide oral hygiene advice and answer any questions individuals may have regarding oral health.

Supporting Prospective Dental Students
BTDA also educates prospective dental students by providing an insight into the life of dental students and dental professionals.
Our Education Team provides workshops to help these individuals get a place in dental school, offering guidance and support throughout the application process.

Connecting Through Mentorship
Through BTDA’s annual conference and our workshops, we provide an opportunity for members of the British Tamil dental community to form connections with each other, leading to shared learning experiences and mentorship.
We are striving to continue these efforts annually and help a greater number of individuals year on year.
Introducing the Arivu Series
Sharing Knowledge Across Our Community
From October 2026, BTDA will be introducing our ‘Arivu Series’.
This will be a series of webinars exploring a range of topics tailored to dental students, dental professionals and prospective dental students.
The series is designed to be a platform where members of the BTDA community can share their wisdom to help our community prosper.
